Trouble Shooting Pattern Viewing or Printing Problems

Blank Screen When Opening: If you try to open the file in acrobat and you see only a blank screen it is most likely because it is a multiple page pattern and just needs more time to open.  I'll be putting the file size beside the pattern to give you an indication on how big it is.  Be prepared to be patient for upwards 2 to 6 minutes depending on the speed of your machine/and or/ internet connection.  These are the exception, but I have had some people say who have older machines that they need almost 6 minutes.

Another possibility is that the Version you have needs to be updated.

Not Printing to size?

Part of the pattern missing off the edge of the page?  This happens when your printer properties are not set correctly to receive the file as it should be.

First, make sure that *fit to page* is not checked off in your printer properties.  If it is checked then un-check it.

Your margins may be set too wide. If so,  try reducing them to the lowest possible width.  Now I should mention that once in a while the very tip of some of the larger sections (seam allowance only) of my patterns will just not fit on the full page. I have chosen to let this little bit be cut off rather than have to reduce the overall size of the pattern block.
